At Shademaster Landscape Design and Build, we've brought our expertise and passion to a one-of-a-kind project at Bear Lake, transforming a charming cabin into a picturesque retreat that seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings. Our focus was to create an eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing outdoor space that would enhance the serene beauty of the lakeside location while providing functionality and sustainability.

The landscape design features a beautiful low-water garden, thoughtfully planned to minimize water usage while maintaining vibrant plant life. The selection of native and drought-tolerant plants not only complements the rustic charm of the cabin but also supports local wildlife and the ecosystem. Creating a space that thrives with minimal resource input was both a challenge and a triumph, proving that landscaping can be kind to the environment without sacrificing beauty.

One of the standout features of this project is the recirculating water feature - a meticulously designed pond area that not only adds a soothing auditory experience but also promotes local biodiversity. Its design aims to create a tranquil focal point that guests can enjoy throughout their stay, embodying relaxation and harmony with nature.

Another exciting addition to the landscape is the inclusion of a practical greenhouse, allowing the cabin owners to cultivate their own plants and vegetables, further embracing sustainable living practices. By incorporating smooth pathways that lead directly from the cabin down to the beachfront, we've created an inviting passageway that encourages exploration and enjoyment of the scenic location.

This project at Bear Lake truly reflects our commitment to sustainable, beautiful, and functional design. It was an enriching experience to see our vision come to life, providing a sanctuary for both human and nature to co-exist harmoniously. Each step, from choosing the right plant species to fine-tuning the water feature and setting out the pathways, was executed with intention and respect for the unique backdrop of Bear Lake.
